• Keep track of what you buy (you'll need to declare it when you get back)
• Alcohol: drink it there if you're under 21 'cause you can't bring it back (otherwise, you can bring back one litre)
  • If you buy it outside of the airport, you MUST pack it in your checked luggage! Otherwise, security at the airport will confiscate it from you as fluids purchased outside of the airport are not allowed on the plane.
• You can purchase $800 worth of goods without paying duty
• You can get back VAT if you save you receipts (for goods only), but it can be a pain in the a$$ to do so
• If you mail something home (expensive) and it is valued at less than $200, you don’t pay a duty
• Sizes are different
• Unlike like here, employees will be very knowledgeable about their merchandise, so ask questions
