  • Bring a backpack/day bag or find someone who’s willing to be your pack aminal (sic) (see also Packing)
  • Pack some anti-bacterial hand gel (it may be difficult to find a place to wash your hands on the go) (see also Packing)
  • When you find a restroom, use it. Public restrooms can be few and far between
  • Don't try and see everything on the first day; pace yourself or risk getting burned out
  • Walk with your bags to the inside of the group (away from street)
  • Carry small amount of money in pocket for street-item purchases and the rest in your wallet
  • Safety in numbers
  • Travel in groups of three or more
  • Women, if possible, permissible, practical, etc. travel with a male escort
  • Protect your valuables
    • men: wallet in front pocket
    • women: purse/handbag to the inside of the group/sidewalk
  • Blend in
