  • Keep track of what you buy (you'll need to declare it when you get back)
  • Alcohol: drink it there if you're under 21 'cause you can't bring it back (otherwise, you can bring back one litre)
  • You can purchase $800 worth of goods without paying duty
  • You can get back VAT if you save you receipts (for goods only), but it can be a pain in the a$$ to do so
  • If you mail something home (expensive) and it is valued at less than $200, you don’t pay a duty
  • Sizes are different
  • Unlike like here, employees will be very knowledgeable about their merchandise, so ask questions
